How is Chewbacca not a rebel?

He is Clone Wars Chewbacca. The Rebellion didn't take place until after the Clone Wars.

There were no rebels during the clone wars. Chewie was just a wookie back then - in fact even calling him a scoundrel at that point is a massive stretch.

I don't see what the big difference would be between clone wars chewbacca and another version of chewbacca besides some kind of wookie rage. Chewie needs to be on the rework list and give him better speed and a name change to just chewbacca and add rebel tag.

Not the version we all have....as his title clearly states "Clone Wars Chewbacca" - no rebellion during the Clone Wars. Sorry to burst your hopeful bubble.
