The issue is (or was) that inactive players in Bronzium and Chromium were getting their skill rating passively increased by the squish mechanics, even when they aren’t active and signing up. When the player starts using the account again after say a couple of years, skill rating is maxed at 5000 despite them being in Bronzium or Chromium.
After that it doesn’t even matter their results, they’ll be top of their division and promoted to top of K1 even if they lose all their matches. Funny thing is they end up facing the same people with the same issue all the way up to Kyber cos their skill rating is miles above the rest of the division.
i don’t know if the issue is still happening or if there are still accounts from pre-fix that have been inactive the whole time and returning now.
