There are others packs at the same price that have a far inferior crystal conversion rate when it comes to what gear/shards are included. Surprise, they are still being bought like candy.
Frankly, I don't think it matters to anyone what comparison you bring up to show the expensiveness of the pack from your perspective. Those who agree with you, won't buy it anyway and most of those who already bought it likely don't worry about next week's groceries, but probably not even next year's.
