Really all CG did with not bringing Malak back soon after DR was to hurt their own pocket book. They could have possible made more money off of the panic buys for those trying to gear DR up for the event or finish gearing their OR toons for the event. The wait is painstaking and makes the DR team less viable till Malak comes back. In the end though it will on be CG that is hurting.

Exactly. There won’t be a panic this time because everyone had plenty of time to prepare. Therefore CG loses by not getting as much money as they could have.

Between needing to gear padme and sep teams, I've lost interest in gearing Malak.

There's a dev announcements section of the forum at the top. Read it and you'll be aware of what has been announced by CG.

BREAKING NEWS: Unfortunately the malak event return mechanism is broken and the only person who knows how to fix it is carrie. Unfortunately carrie is no longer employed by CG so the event will never return. Look for 5 clone wars chewie shards in your inbox for compensation.
