I Do Not Care for Relic Delta

First GAC match post-RD. 

I take R5 Wampa with FDC against an R9 Jabba team. 
Last week: Easy win.
This week: It takes several minutes to get through Krrsantan and then I lose to thermals before finishing off Jabba.

Okay, well, maybe that was hoping for too much. Let's try R7 Cere w/ R9 Fulcrum against R9 Rey.
Last week: Easy win.
This week: I get curbstomped. 

Seeing as I have at least 10 points, I call that an end to this round and put my time towards other activities.

Thinking about GAC afterwards, and how I could do well going forward, would I take Wampa to R9? No, it's a waste of relic and datacron mats on a character who's relevant a couple months every year or two.

Would I take Cere to R9? Would I finally unlock Baylan? No and no. Not because they're bad teams but they're not the best teams. If I wanted to do well in a post-RD world, I would start by taking all 10 GL teams to full R9, then Inquisitors, followed by Bane. Then maybe, after I have 12 full R9 teams, and assuming we don't have another GL by that point, I'd start looking at Queen Amidala, Great Mothers, Bo-Katan, maybe Baylan and Cere are after that around the 16th and 17th squads to get the R9 treatment.

How is that fun? How is that interesting? How is that exciting? 

I was really looking forward to The Stranger. I loved using Starkiller and was happy to see him get a boost. Maul (Hate-Fueled) has a really cool design and I was looking forward to seeing his kit. But now that I know they'll be trash pre-R9, all my excitement is gone. They'll sit on the bench for month or years. 

I love the Mothma team in TB but haven't been able to justify the relic cost of taking them to higher relics. With the new relic economy changes, I was thinking about finally doing it but now they're right back to the back of the line. 

For now, I've decided to approach 5v5 like I do the awful 3v3 mode: I'll do a few attacks and as soon as it stops being fun, that'll be the end of that match. I'll let the whales and the suckers care about pvp ranking and just try to scavenge what small amount of fun I still can from this game.
