Its a little ridiculous and was obviously all thrown together in the beginning with no thought what so ever. There is no reason why i.e. jedi should require the same gear as Sith, droids or any other faction! Every faction should have their own gear sets. This would I believe release some of the aggravation that players have in gearing up heros. Every faction should be different and I believe it's an easy and most welcomed change that players would love. Maybe we would even have a use for challenge gear again!

Mk5 Droid Caller too. Those are the Empire gear wall. I find each faction tends to have one piece that slows down progression. My First Order team all need Mk4 Commlinks which require 50 Stun Cuffs too. A real pain.

I actually think it was specifically thought out. They have to rate-limit certain characters to incentivize crystal purchases. Interestingly enough, Bastila is super easy to gear up to 11. She basically requires a little of everything, and not a ton of a single resource, which was a nice surprise.

Don't forget about the Mk 6 Frisbees and the Mk 5 Thimbles...

Selling excess gear will never make a comeback because of stupid people that sell back the wrong item then complain about it. I guess those people are more important then the hugely vast majority of people that are calling for the feature to return. And I would be happy if they put stun guns in another store other then GET on share shop. They rarely show up for me. “Make the other shops great again!!”

I think so, I don't remember needing either much recently. Although I don't have nearly as much salvage for those. It seems like the salvage shows up in pit raids more, but that might just be my RNG.

I will say the heroic pit has yielded a few complete stun guns in the past. So I got lucky there. Especially with Phoenix needing a lot of them.

The gear crunch is working exactly as intended. They are making it worse on purpose with every new toon they add. Plus you need all that same stuff again for the new g12 pieces. Get used to it or find a better game to play.
