My experience says it’s a problem with the WiFi connection (happens regularly even when simming).
But I’ve lost enough GAC squads and have learned to play all my GAC battles only on mobile data, not WiFi.
Suddenly freezes and lost squads at the start of battle are no longer an issue for me
