IG-100 Magnaguard. Remember him?

Having a real separatist squad was definitely a dream of mine, tho my favorite character grievous is still many shards away, his bodyguard was already farmable in this game! But alas, I feel like he is easily underpowered and forgotten. I love the "punishing" flavor of attaking him (counterattack + offense down), but there is really no incentive to attack him unfortunately. This the famous magnaGUARD of the droid general himself, but he really doesn't guard anything. Slow/lower health/ and he really doesn't bring anything better to the fight. Please help this poor droid take one for the team.
What do you guys think? Any ideas?
  • Taunt as a bonus for not taking damage is a great idea. If he already has speed up, gain taunt for 1 turn. This would work well with hk lead as a mechanic for his aoe. It will also work with poggle lead with speed up buff for droids. This synergises well with his aoe as well tm gain/reduction to get his turn faster. If he takes dmg he loses taunt the next turn.

    So enemy has to aoe or run counters to stop him from gaining taunt. The latter situation would be where the player has to consciously use ig-100s basic to avoid getting damage. This would also be like a soft taunt. Attack ig-100 now? Or wait till he gets the taunt next turn.
  • I could get behind a bump to his counter chance and mabye add a third effect Crit damage up if not hit for a third turn... but giving magnaguard a taunt would make droids OP with JE in there line up.... He has 47K effective hp at gear X ... thats RG levels and if you give him a taunt you are in essense giving droids an unbreakable taunt unless you run 2 debuffers.... as your first one will be long dead before you even get to move with JE.... then your entire first round is spent hitting 100 who counters... which in essense will give my droids 3 or 4 full turns before you can hit 88,86, or 47.... if you happen to kill 100 then he gets rezzed by JE... how can you not see how broken that would be... I Run driods its my only full 7* team... I love them but want them balanced not faceroll easy win.

    Good point, i know what you mean...however giving 100 a taunt would be the end of the single-target/assist meta and begining of the aoe meta, which personally i am so flipping sick of dodge...seems only chance of hitting something is maybe with aoe's.

    So yeah bring the taunt to 100.
