Do u think we will ever get the stores updated with new tools they never change so we all have this overstock of currency that we can't use

No- they make new stores instead. Maybe they will someday move old characters into even older stores- it could be another mechanism to help new players.
Nope. Which is why we have a whole new store called Era. And you can always buy characters with old currency to buy shard shop currency.
You should always be able to use any currency you have, even if it's just to buy credits to use on mod shipments or characters you already have for shard shop currency.
