Incompetence at best, calculated malice at worst

What’s going on with this era challenge? I have a 6* level 16 STL, I can do tier 1. The episode quest requires me to get to t3. I can’t level Luke because those mats are unavailable without getting to 10% on t2 of the coliseum (impossible without leveling) or spending money which enables the incompetent malice causing this situation. News flash guys, making the game even more unbearable to play is not going to create spenders. Even the people who wasted money on this in my guild are deeply unhappy about the results and they’re light years ahead of most of us. There are daily hate posts about all of this nonsense on here, on FB and on discord but as usual CG remains silent. Guildmates quitting, others on the brink because each new twist to this atrocious mess pushes more people over the edge. At this point I’m genuinely wondering if the game will survive and if I should care. Will someone at CG finally be held accountable for the mismanagement of one of the most valuable IPs in history if the game shuts down?

Just more reason Disney needs to take their IP from EA and re-open Lucas Arts and have the heir own gaming department. Remember titles like Monkey Island and X-Wing and Tie Fighter.

I think the worst thing about the era challenge is how pointless it is. There is no beating higher levels through tactics, or even luck. You either have the necessary era level to beat it, or you don't. If they just handed out rewards based on that, the result would be exactly the same and they would save everyone's time.
And as an added insult, we get locked out of the quests. This is really exceptional failure in this whole failed update.
