Intentional 0 stars on Territory

Does this make sense from a strategy point of view? My guild is just barely at 26 stars, so we are getting 1 star in all territories on phase 5 and 6, and 1 or 2 stars in phases 3 and 4. If we focused all of our effort on just 1 territory in phases 3 and 4, we could 3 star them. Would it make sense to do so, that way we could go back and 3 star that territory in a later phase, upping our total star count?

You know ... that sounds like a brilliant idea. Let's see: say you currently get 6* total in P3-4 and 4* total in P5-6. That's a total 10* in P3-6.

On the other hand, if you focus one territory in P3, you get 3*. In P4, you go back and get 3* in the other P3 territory. In P5, you get 3* in one P4 territory, and in P6 you go back and get 3* in the other P4 territory. Total stars P3-6 is 12*

Sounds like a winner to me.
  • It depends, but yes.

We got 16 stars the first time around, though we got 0 in phase 6. The next time around we had some bad platoon luck and spread around too thin, so we were a few thousand shy of 1* on the ship territory, a hundred thousand or so shy of the bottom territory, and just finished the middle in phase 5. We were able to re-do the top and bottom territory during phase 6 with our full rosters, which allowed us to fill in some of the platoons and re-do the combat missions. We ended with 18 stars.

We've tried it again since then, but had bad timing or had people who were on vacation and weren't able to get above 17. I think we'll do it this time, though, so long as everyone dumps everything into the bottom phase 5 territory.
  • I think you can only return to regions from the previous phase. Going back to P3 in P5 would not be possible. But I never tried.
  • If you want to make a case to your guild leaders then construct a spreadsheet showing the damage your guild does in every phase/every territory, a breakdown of what is needed for each star level, and the carryover into the next star level that could have been used in a different territory. When you have the solid figures to back your idea you'll have a better case to back you up. I'm an officer in my guild and it took a few TB's to figure out our best strategy for maximum stars, and with the spreadsheet the facts are painfully clear what you can and cannot do.
  • Are the points reseted in the Phase if you play them again?
  • Yes this is a viable strategy to gain more stars. I'd you know you are not going to get any in p6, just don't ever plan on progressing that far. Maximize stars in p3 or 4, and then get whatever you are getting p5. This can increase your star count but 2-3 stars. This requires a lot of control over the activities because you want to get as close as you can without going over. And in the following round you may want to focus in one zone to max stars there.

    Good luck.

No, points remain the same and platoons remain the same. Your roster refreshes completely. So if you need 8 Bodhis for platoons but your guild only has 4, if you repeat the phase because you didn’t get 1*, you can fill all 8 Bodhi slots.
