Is Arena Everything in This Game?

In most regards it is everything.
However, how could it be everything when it comes down to one hour of work.
I will be honest, I always struggle in arena until recently. I found out my payout is the only one cst in the top 20 players of my shard.
Now I can easily rank one. Other friends of mine are on the same time payout as two or three other top players and therefore they don't reap the benefits I do. The process needs to be re examined and possibly redone to reward differently.
