Is F2P dying a slow death?

Am I the only F2P/Dolphin who feels like after a dozen or so Marque events that the game is slowly being built towards whales, thus leaving us long-dedicated F2Ps out in the cold watching the game pic...

I changed my mind. Yes they don't care about f2p, they are going to do nothing buy marque us to death and then making it so 50% of required characters for new legendary events require you to complete hard nodes.
