Is F2P dying a slow death?

Am I the only F2P/Dolphin who feels like after a dozen or so Marque events that the game is slowly being built towards whales, thus leaving us long-dedicated F2Ps out in the cold watching the game pic...

Coming up to 3.8M GP myself. Top tier of TW is a real pain to keep up with opponents running full G12 Qira squads and the like.

Now having to face maxed out Xanadu/hounds tooth in the next TW. As a FTP it might be more fun in a more moderate guild
