Is F2P dying a slow death?

Pick up energies, spend on the same characters that youve been spending them on in the past 2 months. Go to arena, do the exact same rotation that you have been doing in the past 4 months. Sim every challenge, gw, omega events now. Raids already donr in few hours at most, again, with the very same rota every time.
Is this really THE game? I could write a macro to do all of the above, its that dumb. I want a game where I feel that Im actually playing with my characters. Swgoh no longer gives that.
I hate most of the characters in MSF, but at least the combat feels more dynamic, and Blitz whilr taking up a lot of time, it does give the feel of actually playing. We desperately need something like that in swgoh too, or Ill surely stop doing the exact same boring stuff soon.

Most people don't actually want a phone game to take up any real amount of time or effort. If I want to spend time actually playing a game I will go play a real game on the computer or a console. This game is just a little something to do when I have a free moment when I am not at home.

Arena Crystal's and refreshing the hard node helps a lot.

Yet, it doesnt give the feel of playing.
Its the Return on Invesment thing. Either you dont need to put a lot of effort in and have little fun (like reactor type party games) or you put in a lot of effort, but expect a fantastic experience (like MSF).
Swgoh takes too much yet gives way too little.

Is F2P dead? Depends on what do you expect from the game. If you want to compete for top arena ranks against big spenders, then yes. It is dead. But if you play on your own pace, try to collect characters, build squads, fight against PvE events, raids etc. I's still a lot of fun. Just forget about PvP competition and try to enjoy vaste SW character pool&lore. You don't really need to have every new character @7* on day 1....

No one here said we needed every new toon at 7* on day 1. We’re saying the sheer number of marquee toons plus the insane time and resource commitment to leveling and gearing them is becoming overwhelming (unless you’re a whale and you cave into your ridiculous addiction).

What exactly takes time in this game? I log in a few times a day to collect energy and move a slider. Takes a few minutes at most. Every couple of days I auto a raid while doing something else. Nothing takes any significant amount of time.

I spend at least half an hour with the fleet timeout. Top5 pays way too good to miss out.
The 5 daily TB combat missions arent an instance either.
Plus, 2-3 arena fights will take about 10 mins too.
Assault missions?

Why do feel you NEED all these characters?
Why do you feel you should get them all for Free/Easily?

I’m farming the Vets atm and yes it sucks....I’d much rather be farming Deathtrooper, Aayla and FOX....
But that’s MY choice —> I want JTR :)

3) Nearly enough for 2 Old Rebel teams inc Han and CLS

F2P are socialism. 99% people only live out of handouts from the goverment (game developer), which gives everybody "job" (free stuff) and pays their bare minimum needs (all of the live in borderline poverty). While the 1% bask in luxury beyond your comprehension. It doesn't matter if you are top surgeon in the country or genius engineer you all earn roughly the same no matter how hard you bust your chair off.

Its just ridiculous to pay 400$ to max 1 of 5 new characters a month.

This game is only for KRAKENS(100% FUN) and F2P(10% FUN).
100$ bill has no value in this game whatsover, there is no reward for spending 100$ in this game.

Best monetization models for this game:

1. Those hero packs they offer on every marquee with 30 shards should be whole 280 shards needed to max out these characters and this game would have millions of active and spending players.
2. Premium subscription which for 10-20$ a month give you premium status(boosted drop rate for everything) and no microtransactions in such game.

This game depends 100% on old players 2years+ who have insane collections (even F2P) and attracts no new players, because only insane people would farm such a tedious grind with no reward.

And for the record: if you are F2P arena shard top 5, I'm sorry you are the lucky 0,0001% who got assigned to relatively whale free-shard right at the creation of the shard.
Please do not be a spokesperson for F2P, because you are priviliged socialist elite, who thinks they hold top spot because of their unmatched skill. Yes you are skilled but first and foremost incredibly lucky.

Many F2P bust their chair off for years, optimizing all grinds and strategies only to sit in top 100 behind all the krakens.
