The books about him still aren't canon (except the new one). The Force Unleashed is not canon. Whether Disney decides to include its story (modified or not) in the canon on how the Rebel Alliance came to be, remains to be seen.

the great thing about the new one.... is its written to fit in both Legends and the new canon.
