One of the largest issues is regarding agility. TW/ GA matchmaking is just one example. Sandbagging is at its worst for TW with lazy guilds taking advantage of it instead of looking for a challenge.
When 3V3 pairing GL with non GL = impossible it removes every ounce of enjoyment. Rewards for not investing in a roster to get Kyber with 3-4 million GP vs players over 4.8 million (whatever Div 1 starting point is) should never be higher then the top 3 brackets in Division1. Matchmaking adjustments should remove G12 GP that is irrelevant and be based off of GP of a smaller number of teams. All of this is based on existing data (math) and would take minimal effort.
