So we're circling back to my first point, which is that power creep is worse than nerfs.
Everyone but whales lose.
I disagree. I have stayed at the top of my arena through several meta shifts, and I am no whale.
I read your original post, and it sounds fine, but in practice it doesn't work that way. We know this, because they've been doing the same thing for 6 months and it's not just whales that win.
Which, circles back to *my* point, just because other games use nerfs for balance, doesn't mean that's the best solution, and doesn't mean they should do that here. - "1) They can function on virtually any team (unlike Droids or Zaul or even Wiggs - who generally need Wedge in the lead to maximize their effectiveness)."
I wanna see some examples? Mostly I see Chaze on Rex lead teams. That is 3 toons already predetermined. Quite often with DN or GK in the other spots. And most of the other squads are just second rate substitutes.
I have seen Maul lead with Chaze, but is not that great.
What they running (and winning with) on your server?
I think GK, DN, and Rex are all more versatile than Chaze. I see DN on a jedi squad taking top spots. Rex lead without chaze nor GK taking top spots. I see GK lead with Barisse and no chaze taking top spots. I see GK on a Vader squad taking top spots. Other than jyn lead (which is top 10 or may 20 at best), I don't see many variations on Chaze with non Rex lead. And Jyn lead is synergy, at least. "tharduskafka;c-1058244" wrote:
Haha, another nerf Chaze thread. As a matter of course, just wanted to point out that some people have farmed Baze without spending any money. It's slow going saving crystals for the shipment packs, but it's easier than farming FOST and FOTP from two hard nodes!
If you rank in the top 100, you get about 300 crystals a day. That's enough to get 4 Baze shards. So it takes about 2 weeks to get Baze and Chirrut can be farmed from fleet.
I strongly suggest that anyone who think's they are OP should try them out. You'll quickly be able to see that their viability is dependent on the synergy with the rest of the squad. Just like all the other hard to beat comps.
I have chaze and didn't spend a dime on them, not even crystals. But this simply doesn't mean anything, it's not about how easy or difficult they are to get, it's about how overdesigned and unbalanced they are. Failing to notice this is pitiful"StarSon;c-1059018" wrote:

If you think nerfs are bad in a game, take a look at, I don't know, every single competitive game out there.
Just because other games do it, doesn't mean it's the best solution.
If it works, then it does. Look at Paragon. Aurora was flat out OP and they needed her damage and people stopped complaining. It's funny how when you do what the fans want they stop having reasons to complain about the game.
Never played that game, so can't say. But also, just because people complain doesn't mean it's a real issue. The forums (i.e. where people come to complain) is a very small percentage of the game's population in this game. Can't speak to other games, but I assume it's similar. The devs will have enough data to know whether something needs to be nerfed or not.
What kind of backwards logic is this? Using it, we should determine who our president should be based on going door to door instead of just counting the ballots because the people that actually voted only make up a small perecentage of our population. Unless you actually voice your opinions then they don't matter. The people that aren't on the forums don't get a say in what is OP or not because they chose not voice their opinions. So in that regard, yes the forum should be where the devs get most of their information about what the playerbase likes and dislikes about certain toons. In fact that's the only fair way for them to do it and make changes to toons.- Persimius8 years agoSeasoned Ace

Yes, because this game is just like a presidential election. "DarthTadeusV;d-109191" wrote:
It's time isn't? That pair are too way complete to be in that game for so long, they fit in every team, and his healing, cleaning, taunting, etc is exaggerated... that's my opinion
Agreed.- Same said for zylo under maul lead. He is perma "taunting" restting cooldowns, resetting his protection, and counterattacking. And doing insane damage. Chirrut has a big hit every 3 turns. Other than that, chaze doesnt do dps.
- There are ton of op, must have, imbalanced arena toons. Chaze is unremarkable.
- Someone said this game isn't healthy. I beg to differ. This game is very healthy, and chaze is a perfect example of how healthy this game is. Chaze is wonderful. I don't run chaze, but I love the challenge chaze poses for me, and challenges are healthy. When I beat chaze teams, and I do it all the time, and then come here to listen to cry babies and whiners, I feel vindicated and proud I accomplished what apparently many of you can't. Excellent! , and proof enough for me that swgoh is an excellent game designed for winners to play. If you want to be a winner, come join me and thousands of others who love the challenge of chaze.

Same goes with Vader's basic: wasn't bugged until it was fixed, when it was it became a bug, so that it could be called a bug fix rather than a nerf. Pretty convenient. We are waiting for the same to happen to chaze.
Baze Malbus will no longer retain bonuses from Chirrut Imwe's' unique ability "Indomitable Will" after Chirrut is defeated, and will reapply to Baze when Chirrut is revived
Ah the small pleasures of life... not even 12 hours and the prophecy fulfills itself.
So, now, @SnakesOnAPlane it wasn't bugged right? Then we can officially call it a nerf
