We have seen that they're able to give totally useless toons as login characters. They even teased us with TFP some time ago to give us Talia instead. This month they gave Scavenger Rey which is the most useless and farmable character among the ones required for JTR. PERHAPS, taking into account that they would never give us KRU or FOSF for free as login chars and also considering the huge discontent occurred during the last month, they could concede us some FOST shards as a login reward for January.

About potential new toons: I think it could be too soon to release Rose or DJ. I think they could go with some toon whose cycle has ended, like Snoke, Old Luke or Old General Leia.

Someone new hopefully, not had a login character that hadn't already had 7* since the start of the game...
