Let’s not get crazy here HM. They made a huge error that was so preventable it’s ridiculous that negatively affected a lot of people across the spectrum of f2p and spenders then said “Eh, sucks to be you guys but we aren’t going to fix it.” The “negative rubbish” they received was both well deserved and obviously the reason they backtracked and fixed it. While I’m happy they took care of things and willing to give them credit for that, fixing a problem they originally stated they were going to ignore does not in any way excuse them from the backlash they generated. I’m also not ready to rubber stamp this update as positive, we will need to see how it shakes out in practice next era. Given the fact that they handled the era level debacle well (imho) I’m willing to be cautiously optimistic but experience has taught me that changes of this nature are more often slanted towards monetization than player experience.
