No, no, no, no. Not even close. The disparity between those that jumped in early and got their whole arena team / GW team / others completely 5* modded (mostly health mods) and leveled at the reduced rate have weeks if not months ahead of those who didn't. When I precrafted, it was about 1.3 million credits to completely level slots 1-6 per character. Now it's closer to 3 million per character. Luckily, I had gotten to a point where I had saved up 8 million credits, a ton of crystals and went crazy when they came out. Considering they killed the rate from 100% to darn near nothing (I have screen shots if you wish to see them), the chances of someone getting a full 5* set in, let us say, a week is slim to none at best and then having the credits to level them is almost a joke. There is a wall, it's called Cantina energy and sacrifice a goat to RNGesus to A: Get a 5* mod, B: Get the primary you need and C: get the shape you need.
Come on, man.
Edit - YES, you are right......it will level itself out, but not anytime soon.
For me, it already has leveled out (well, with health mods anyway but that wouldn't have been any different). Like I said to the guy above, choosing to play for free is your own. The drops aren't all bad but you gotta know anything after 100% won't FEEL as good. They're not gonna change it though. This is end-game farming, and if you don't like the speed, you can pay to get ahead. The gear levels are still what keep me below 20 in arena, not the mods.
The irony to me as that you pointed out it was "lucky" you'd saved up enough to get some things leveled. It's not luck. I did it last week, I tried not spending any credits, ability mats, training droids (well, credits on leveling a mod for the daily and buying shipment salvage) and Saturday spend them how I wanted. So, were the weekdays unfair? Was the Weekend unfair? They definitely weren't lucky. I had some self-control with my resource management game, and it was really fun. Crazy.
Disparity. If they were that far ahead of you before the patch, why does it become a disparity after the fact?
Updates and new content devalue everything I've built into, and made my exclusives non-exclusive. Difference between me and some is, I read this in the ToS, and have played similar games. There's nothing surprising in this game/business model. Sure I'd like to get ahead faster. Of course I want it all done now. But then, I'd have nothing to do.....so.....guess I'll go have some fun playing the game.
Soooooo unpopular is my perspective.
Let's dance.
