Incorrect.
Whoever chose Chirriut, that also chose Baze (and vica versa). Baze is never used alone, always on the side of Chirrut.

This is only top 10 arena which is a really really small portion of the global playerbase. ^ ^

Anyway once we'll have access to gear XII, such characters will have some trouble to compete. Nihilus, Baze or GK are a real pain to get to 7*for a lot of players who don't spend hundreds of real cash on such games.

Chaze is old news, easily countered, but Baze is still a great all around tank & none of us knows whay the future holds... he's worth the farm and then some imo... that being said I only recently started using Chaze in arena & it's only temporary. As soon as the toons I actually want on my arena team are geared & zeta'd they will be getting replaced... they are just too easily countered by too many different team set ups these days...

0/50 for baze. Cleared his hard node before he was added. Come to think of it, i really got shafted!!! <- joke

GK is more overused right now..

I've been lvl 85 for months and got Baze at 0/50 he seems like a lot of effort for little reward to me as an F2P player

But you're still posting in a thread made by somebody who believes that Baze is so ubiquitous in Squad Arena that you're just supposed to have Baze by the time you reach level 80. I would not be surprised if this belief was very commonplace among new SWGOH players, just because it's not entirely unwarranted when they browse their Arena's top squads and see how many Baze are in the top 5, top 10, top 20.

If new players see many baze's in their top20 they're gonna have a hard time no matter what since he's p2p* for newer players.
It's also hilarious that you wouldn't be suprised if that belief was commonplace since you're the one saying you should have baze, lol.
*not really p2p, but not yet farmable due to level requirements and lots of other, better options to spend ingame earned crystals on than baze (for new players (and old imo, but that's a different matter)).
