Sure, but remembering to add and subtract mods at all the different times for all the different scenarios is kind of a pain.

And what happens in GAC when you want the character to be maxed out but the ship speed not to be? Things like that just create headaches for players. My goal is to put more self-determination in the hands of the players, but not more headaches.
