Regardless of knowing jj's gender, referring to someone as "they" is generic. If gender doesn't matter to the subject you're talking about then the distinction isn't relevant, hence "they". And about your link to webster, what is the world is your point? It says they is used as singular and plural pronoun. Did you only read the first paragraph of your own evidence? If the complaint is the use of "they" being different recently, it doesn't change the fact the pronoun has been used in a singular and plural sense for centuries. Hell, the second paragraph points this out then it goes into the gender-fluid use of the word for way longer than what is relevant to how OP is using it. It doesn't matter whether we know gender or not. You may NEED to know the distinction of gender for whatever reason and "they" slows you down on knowing that point when someone is talking, but if something is being discussed in a casual way its annoying for you to need the distinction. You may think it's nonsensical. But hell, I never called you out by name, I just used "you" because that was sufficient for this waste of both our time. And on that note, "you" is another pronoun that can be used singular or plural if you're ever bored and wanting to look at pronoun usage over the centuries and English again with dying on a hill about colloquial semantics like every other weirdo obsessed with the gender culture.
Goodluck on your GL Mando unlock and whatever their unlock requirements are. Hopefully they're easy enough.
