Make Royal Guard eermm... guard again?

Zeta: whenever any ally falls below 50% health RG cleanses all debuffs gains taunt and grants damage immunity to ally with least health for 1 turn

The problem is that ever since protection was added, the 50% health taunt became obsolete. If a character is at 50% health now, it’s already too late to be effective.

Imo i think RG already get new version upgrade.. it is the sith trooper :frowning:

It would be great if he taunts when an ally loses his/her protection.

His zeta should just give Palpatine Crit Immunity while Royal Guard is active. That alone would be enough to keep Palp from being one-shotted without the Taunt ever happening.

On the theme of making his kit do something a bit different to other characters... I don't know how challenging this would be from a coding perspective, but how about the game runs a check so that were an attack to take any Empire below 50% health, all of that damage is taken by RG instead (even without him taunting), and its mitigated by some additional damage absorption, or perhaps he immediately recovers a % of health, and then triggers his taunt?
Something a little bit different but my thinking behind this is - as the OP stated - often by the time he's taunting it's a bit too late. Where an initial attack might take Palpy or someone else to below 50% health triggering the taunt, calls to assist (especially with multiple calls to assist) might well kill the character off and will not respond to RG's taunt until the next round.

Just a thought anyways :)

Although I'm not sure you'd class the Royal Guard TIE Interceptior as a tank... still... I need that red ship in my life one way or another :p

I certainly wouldn’t be adverse to a zeta like old ben where he gets a second taunt if the first one is dispelled.
