I enjoy them. You can play as much as you want, however you want, whoever you want until you run out of ally points. You don't have to worry about teams you use becoming your defensive teams, so you can try out all types of lineups. The rewards I get from tournaments are greater than what I would have gotten pressing 'buy again' over and over opening bronzium packs.
If you don't like them, don't do them. But don't try stop it for everyone else.
