I doubt the imps would allow access to sensitive data to someone on the naughty list. He would've had to be an imp then, which doesn't make sense since he was raised Mandalorian from a small child. I think it will be used later as a plot device to come between Din and The Children of the Watch, which will have Din either not wear his helmet again or more likely become an outcast or at odds with The Children of the Watch.
