@Ig88isboss if there is a prevalent counter to maul (L), does it follow that maul is then no longer meta? By sharing the development of my shard's top 20, I intended to share the experiences of our players who formerly were predominantly using maul. Now they don't for the most part. I suppose it's possible our shard's top 20 don't know how to set up a proper maul led team, but tbh - I doubt that.
Now, I'm not proposing Rex is meta, but if I did propose anything, perhaps there is no one meta team. Each team rising to the top, has a counter, suggesting as swgoh develops as a game, they have begun to reach the gaming community 's goal of roshambo (rock, paper, scissors).
As for quoting swgoh.gg, I would propose their stats are comprised of a player base who may not have the toons developed to properly counter maul led comps, thus the meta report is a lagging indicator.
