My goodness. There are plenty of other good heroes to farm and gear, even for a longtime player like me. Work on them, farm the required heroes for this event slowly, and get Revan in January. Don't get distracted by shiny new things if you don't like spending. The games business model has not changed, don't expect it too just because you are a fan of a certain hero.
