Theres still time CG, you can completely undo everything you have planned, demote Ani to a conquest character and promote Maul to his rightful place as a GL opposed to Kenobi! Maul survived being cut in half and dumped on a trash planet just to get revenge on Kenobi. His desire to kill kenobi went through the clone wars into rebels. He's far more interesting than someone who has 30min of screen time (as Vader) and only shows of power is killing younglings and unarmed separatist leaders
