Wouldn't worry much about that. The event will be back around 3, 4 month tops. Will be chain event i think. Example: to unlock Jedi Luke, u need *7 Commander Luke.
I asked to the devs in the megathread 3 or 4 times is the event is coming back. None of them answer to me. So probably you are right, they want us to think it could not coming back so we spend money this time.
Bcause if they tell us, people won't buy the present pack.. maybe some people will wait couple months. Some of them maybe want to have new luke a.s.a.p.
"Why give people a month or two notice so they could potentially bump their close enough toons to the required level when you can just give them a 2 day notice and have them buy a group pack worth $60, and 5 single packs worth $20"
