Vader can almost ability block the whole enemy team before they take a single turn now. That's nothing to be sneered at.
And with palp, 2 force crushed before they even get to go, culling blade one, and your team gets a nice boost to turn meter. And with thrawn, you can get Vader back into his “hmmmm. Who to kill now” mode before they go...

If you can add footage, that'd be great. I don't have the technological capabilities, unfortunately. And I think against DR, Merciless Massacre should be used first. Forgot about that.
Yeah against DR/Malak you definitely have to go Merciless Massacre first since you won't get any TM from Palp's lead. That said it's a breeze to kill Malak that way
I was thinking less because of not getting TM from Palp lead but more from the Fear immunity.
