I have been playing for a long time (since launch). I have heard people complain about this issue for a long time. I hesitate to include my 2 cents because the issue may in fact be a problem that I just haven't encountered, but I have yet to run into this bottleneck. Still have 1100 Mk8 Salvage and only 50 Mk8 Prototype.
Makes me think this is primarily a whaling issue, but maybe I'm just not L337 enough to know.
