There’s an even simpler solution though: manage your mods.

If they increase the cap, you and others who don’t manage their mods will be back next year complaining that it needs increased again.

I'm not suggesting they increase it. I do manage my mods, but thanks for your concern. I'm saying get rid of the cap or, failing that, provide a means of declining mods rather than having an inbox full of notifications that stick around for 3 days.
