This entire update has been failure after failure but this really takes the cake. Not only do you need to pay $ to unlock maul, but then if you are not careful you do not have enough materials to level up your Maul and will be stuck at level 52 unless you pay another 30$. The greed and shadiness of CG knows no bound.
They have to pay Disney that 30% profit margin to pay for the license. They are passing that cost on to the players.
Let me see if I understand the problem here.
It takes 2750 Mark 5 Modules to go from Level 45 to 55 per character. For 5 characters that’s 13750. You get 3800 Mark 5 Modules from clearing 100% on Tier 4 Coliseum and then 90% on Tier 5. Times 4 bosses and that’s 15200. That leaves 1450 Modules for Maul who was never advertised as a free character.
But if you did the first two tiers of his event, then your characters were all 5-star minimum for the marquee events. So you got another 50 from Asajj’s Tier 4 Marquee and another 25 from the same tier on repeat. If you took her to 6-star, Tier 5 of the Marquee gave you 200 Mark 5 Modules on repeat.
But also, if you got the characters to 5-star, the most value-laden and logical first purchase would have been the basic Episode Passes, each containing 20 shards each of two required characters in addition to more materials and currency and other rewards. The current one has 4000 more Mark 5 Modules in addition to 4725 of the Mark 6 Modules. And there are Cores as well.
So the character that is not free, can be partially leveled up for free, or you bought the passes to get the shards of the required characters, which means you have the remaining materials needed to take him to 55 or you will as the week progresses.
