Mod pack improvements missed the mark

Skill has nothing to do with taking rank #1 in arena, and neither does money. That's all about your mods and having the flavor of the month. To claim otherwise is the true ignorant statement.

I haven't spent any money in over a month specifically because of the necessity for the new exclusive toon/team every month, and refuse to play follow the leader. If you'd bothered to read the thread, you'd have seen that your point had been cancelled out before it was made.

This statement is wrong. Money has everything to do with getting #1 in arena. Why would you even spend money if not to claim the best reward there is in this game: 500 crystals per day.??

Also, i am proof that skill can keep you in the top. I farmed Jedi since the beginning and i've NEVER changed my Jedi team for any meta team of the time... When Zetas came, my path was clear. I farmed and worked (without spending money) on toons and raids. Today i run zQGJ, Aayla, GK, Yoda and JKA. I rank 1 everyday. It was through skill and learning that i achieved that spot.

I am sorry to claim this, but you're a noob. If you spent that much money on the game then it was only obvious you should be ranking at the top. If you played long enough there are no excuses for why you don't have any competitive arena team except droids (which aren't competitive for a while now).

You spent your money poorly. Be happy as you will, of course, you can play whatever ways you want, but your not being productive to yourself. It's simple, and it's true. Deny it, accept it, it won't change the fact.

PS: Of course, i've spent money on this game as well (not nearly 1k, let's say 200 bucks tops), in the addicting start... But as soon as i started to rank top 10 i started spending a lot less, after i reached top 1 everyday, i stopped spending. It's been some months now. 500 crystals a day, why spend money? I just have to harvest them ;D

I'm sure you wouldn't be in the top if you didn't have good mods. This means that a large portion of your success is basically due to luck. Money can't buy good RNG on mods, neither can skill. Therefore the biggest determination in someone's PvP rank is luck plain and simple.

The simple fact that you say you don't spend a lot of money and still rank highly in arena means you are contradicting your denial of my statement that money is not the biggest determination in PvP rank.

I am not a noob. A noob is clueless. I was purposeful in my purchases. Just because you can't understand my goals doesn't mean that they aren't good. It doesn't make me clueless. However, to try and judge my progression without taking my personal goals into account does make one clueless with their comments about the value of my purchases.

Arena is merely one facet of the game, and less important than fleet or raiding in my opinion. It is a gamble on whether or not you will keep the rank you have by spending money on it, but it is no gamble whether or not you will continue to do good damage on raids or beat events with the toons you have to get those rewards.

The Noob comment is thinking that there's only one avenue to success in this game, or that only one goal in it is worthwhile.
