I mean, great if you have 4 times 10% crit chance. Well it only means you will crit maybe 100% ok, good. But what if you never play cause the guys in front have so much speed that they always play before you, a lot.
The issue here is that the mod meta is speed. The "best" way is to get speed as secondaries on every **** piece of mod you equip. And if everybody is always looking for the same stats on their mods. Then it means a nerf or rework is necessary.
Maybe speed can be countered by full counter teams with full def/HP/Prot mods. I guess it would be something, but I still doubt that would win anything against teams that will USE their skills in comparison to counters.
Right so you are telling me that speed is the best for RG, B2, droids under JE... Etc... Well I just totally disagree sorry.
Speed is good for dps or tm manipulators, many other toons don't need it at all
I agree that speed is not for all characters, but there are some that can really abuse it. People that are very lucky with secondary stats can get characters like Old Ben and ST Han to move before anybody else and then you're locked down and somebody is dead before you even get to move and your dispeller likely can't dispel ST Han and your tank can't taunt because he's locked out. I've tried Tenacity mods myself with the big buff on the plus mod and the Tenacity set bonus and the best I can get is between 75% and 80% and Old Ben seems to Mind Tricks through that anyway, so Tenacity feels useless. You're only chance is if you have Rex or Yoda and you can get them faster than Old Ben or ST Han to get Tenacity up before they go, but it doesn't help you on defense because of how their AI's works.
Some of the secondary speed stats on the mods are so ridiculous and incredibly random that they give an unfair advantage. I'm fine with the primary stats and I think the set bonuses need a buff, but the secondary stats are ridiculous in my opinion. They almost take away from the purpose of the mods IMO. Speed mods should be your source of speeding up your characters and not Health or Potency mods with incredible secondary speed stats. If you want to give your character more health, then health mods should be your source and not crit chance mods with awesome protection and health stats on them. It's just all kind of backwards.
