I went for protection primaries albeit with decent speed secondarys. I survive the 1st barrage and clean up. My Rey had a protection primary arrow for a long time. She's got a speed primary now but only because I now have access to crit damage mods. Point is, both ways worked for me. Been making no 1 since ages, no EP/ Anakin/ Lando/ Han/ Poe/ Ben or Droids. Sometimes I don't drop below top 5, sometimes in the 30s but I always make no 1. Offense is easy if you plan a bit and have a strong squad (there are many variations of them right now). Defense? I drop anywhere from top 5 to top 30 (usually around Arena guild activity). Hard launch shard here.
