Is it completely unreasonable to throw the players a few bones? Chewie shards don't cut it. First rule of game evolution and development: when introducing a new grind, you must trivialize previous grinds. Instead you keep piling then on. Cost and time for player progression keeps exponentializing while rewards remain linear. That's your second mistake. Why don't you just ask us to work for you while we pay you for it. That seems most reasonable at this point.
