Honestly? This is a good post. The game DEFINITELY has issues, anyone who has been playing for even a little while knows this. And since this is the forums, there's no need to list every single one of these issues because A) I would be sitting here for a week listing them, and B) frequent forumers will know about most of them anyway. But I digress.
What I can say though is (and this is what I also infer from the post), that imo the key to enjoying this game for as long as some of us have, is to make your own fun. I think it's monumentally crucial to play this game at your own pace. Constantly comparing yourself to others, desparately trying to chase goals that are realistically out of reach, neglecting IRL due to excessive time or money commitments, etc., are toxic things that kill your own fun and much much more.
The reality is, if something in or about this game makes you miserable, then don't do it. I know this is easier said than done, and I'm not perfect at this myself, but once you let go of the idea that you need to have everything, need to beat everything & everyone, need to do and engage in everything that's available, it makes the game a lot more fun and manageable. Everyone has different parts of the game that they enjoy, so don't force yourself to do things you don't like, provided you're not hurting anyone with this of course... guild responsibilities are a thing obviously. But even then you can always look for guilds that are more relaxed and allow you more leniency in what you can skip.
One very big thing that helps achieving the stuff that I mentioned and prolong the fun with the game, is just letting go of the FOMO. If you don't enjoy colosseum at all for example, don't play it, or play it with absolutely minimal effort. Sure, you will miss out on rewards, often a lot of them, but so what? You only need them because you're telling yourself that you need them. The truth is that you don't NEED anything in this game. There is no "end" goal to this game, and therefore there is no "right" way to play. Some people like to try and reach the top of GAC, and others are just happy collecting things slowly and don't care about anything else. And both ways are perfectly fine, because it's the individuals themselves that make them fine.
I've been rambling for quite some time now, so here are my finals words:
Play at your own pace. Do the things you enjoy, and don't do the ones you don't. Do things because you ACTUALLY enjoy them and not only because you feel like you HAVE to do them (but also be considerate of your guild mates). Be able to accept getting lower rewards, be able to accept not having everything. Don't constantly compare yourself to others. Don't neglect your IRL for this game. If you follow these steps, I can almost guarantee you that you will enjoy the game more in the long run. Take this from someone who has been playing pretty much every single day since launch.
