Need Luke guidance.

I'm flat out broke. I can only kill one trooper in the third round. My gear levels are trash, mods are trash, and I've poured every last resource into these characters and I'm just not getting results. It's as if the game is constantly cheating me out of this one character I've wanted so badly since he was announced. I've struggled and struggled to get myself ready and it's just eating me up that I'm not going to get this character again.

Edit: And I refuse to spend actual money on this game.
