New events are needed and there are a lot of factions that can be used and further developed.

They could even add some story to the events for example general leia has been captured and its up to a small team of resistance members to save her by collecting her shards.

Really great idea ! Scenarized Pve is the best kind of events imo...

I would enjoy something like a PVE tower with 100 or even 1000 floors. Fight through the Death Star to unlock Krennic shards. Perhaps award shards at each stage. Kinda like a really long GW against non-arena teams with a daily refresh. Say there are 330 floors in the Death Star, each awarding a Krennic shard. Your squad carrries over like GW and you get a full refresh every 24 hrs. If you can only make it to floor 50 in one day, you'll start in floor 50 the next day and continue to fight to 330, with floors progressively getting harder. I think that would be a great test of roster depth and will be tough to complete in day, maybe even a week.

Devs get back from holiday on the 9th, but most likely the events they add will be tourneys mostly.

I'm hoping for guild vs guild or live pvp or something like that

I am not being sarcastic or critical or negative in any way I just have a legitimate question so please do not misread and delete thank you in advance.

The training droid and credit heist are advertised to be every 6-12 days. Recently it had been every 12 everytime. Nontheless, I do not see how promising the training droid heist every 7 days could be considered a special event. Like mentioned above about jawa shards, training droids are needed by newer players which is cool, but this does not beniffit the majority.
Now, hopefully, a weekly credit heist will also be coming and that would be wonderful because everyone needs credits. But my question remains, how is a regularly 6-12 day promised event offered weekly considered special?
The need for something new was stressed in this thread. Though a commonly offered every 12 days credit heist offered weekly is very welcome it should be that way more often anyways because it was promised to be.
Though we would be grateful for this, I too hunger for something actually new.

If it is doable, a live PvP against other live players would be my request.

I highly doubt that 90% of players is 85. Just because the vast majority of the forums are committed players that have been playing for a really long time doesn't mean that most players are max level. I don't know what it exactly is, but that is nowhere close to being true
