Gotta say it’s refreshing to play with new cap ship finally!! Was so bored with rebels. This is a welcome change.

If you are a kracken, by all means max the rebel fleet but don't whine in a month, when negotiator or malevolence is beating you anyway and you have limited use for the pilots elsewhere in the game.
Oh, I'm also working on Galactic Republic ships while I'm gearing my Padme squad. I'm not exactly a kraken, but I love all things fleet. I'm already able to field 3 serviceable fleets in TW. It'll be nice to have 4 fleets for offense even if I can't use them anywhere else (yet).
I'm not sure you need a maxed rebel fleet for tw. Assuming you get negotiator and it is the great counter to rebels, you can use that against any maxed rebels. A non maxed rebel fleet can take out about anything else anyway. Relics on han and chewie maybe, but the rest are probably overkill in my opinion.
But if you love ships, that's great if that makes the game fun for you.
