HK—47 has low damage and is quite sturdy. K2—S0 likewise. Both were in the standard droid arena team even before the arrival of R2.

In fact the cookie cutter arena team (pre—R2) only has one real attacker (but yes it fits your description as being a glass canon): IG—88.
