You'll get one lvl 1 ship and some similarly weak summons and have to take on an overpowered fleet. You'll die in seconds. The next day, you'll die in seconds to a different fleet. You'll have to keep dying in seconds at least once a day. You'll get stronger at a glacial, predetermined pace—unless you pull out your wallet—and if you eventually beat the fleet, you'll earn the privilege of dying in seconds to a stronger version of the exact same fleet.
In two weeks, you'll get another ship, and then you'll need to die in seconds with those two ships and some summons at least once a day, and so on. Eventually, you'll have five ships to die in seconds with, doing the same thing but getting wildly different scores based on RNG.
You'll want to be excited about these new ships with cool kits, but they'll be locked away in the die-in-seconds game mode. They won't feel like your units in any meaningful way, and you won't get to use them in any game modes you care about for about 3 months.
Won't it be fun?
