No Sith tag for Asajj Ventress?

Only watched bits and pieces of Clone Wars. Shouldn’t Asajj have a Sith tag? Or am I mistaken and she was never a Sith?
I understand the rule of two but she was still an apprentice to a Sith Lord (Dooku) which would logically make her Sith.
  • Apprenticeship didn’t make them a Sith. They had to be raised to level of Sith. Even if they were still only an apprentice. At least I’m 90% sure

The version of Asajj we have in game currently will not be getting the Sith affiliation.

took me a minute to find this I have not had to dig it up in a while.

    moved to correct sub forum.

    Assaj Ventress:

The Rule of 2 in the Sith Order only applies to Sith Lords - the Master and the Apprentice. However The Apprentice Sith Lord, is known to take on a disciple of their own to train in the ways of the Sith and Darkside, so that together they can over throw the Sith Master - starting the cycle of Rule of 2 all over again.

Vader did this with Starkiller (although no longer considered cannon) but also attempted to do this with Luke in TESB. The Sith Master: Palpatine or Sidious instructed Vader to deal with Starkiller and had no knowledge of Vader attempting to recruit Luke.

Dooku or Tyranus also did so with Ventress and then again with Savage. The Master: Palpatine or Sidious was aware of Ventress and she was growing powerful enough to pose a threat to his rule, when teamed with Dooku, so Sidious ordered Dooku to eliminate her. This is why Dooku kept Savage as his new apprentice a secret from Sidious.

Ventress and Savage held the same rank and purpose with Dooku, yet Savage has been given a Sith tag in the game. Savage was also Sith under Maul's teachings - however, due to the Rule of 2, Savage only would have been awarded the title of Darth and Sith Apprentice, once he and Maul defeated the existing reigning 2 Sith Lords - Dooku & Palpatine. So he was no more Sith than Ventress.

Ventress was an aspiring Sith Lord under the teaching of the Sith Lord, Darth Tyranus aka Count Dooku. Dooku himself refers to her as his apprentice on more than one occasion throughout the Clone Wars animated series (which is considered cannon) - and does so in the very first episode when speaking to the Toydarian King:

Dooku: "Yoda's powers have been greatly exaggerated."

King Katuunko: "That remains to be seen Count."

Dooku: "Indeed But when you decide to join us, my apprentice (Ventress) will contact me."

So I ask why a legitimate sith apprentice, fails to receive a Sith Tag - when a non-force sensitive Sith Trooper in the game has a sith tag?

I can answer the Sith Trooper part. I believe he is from before the rule of two. When Sith was an Empire. They came out when Nihlus came out, which is before the rule of two.
  • And to answer why savage and Maul are Sith. They self proclaimed themselves Sith and made it their mission to eliminate the “imposters”
  • In one of the books on Maul, Plagueis was aware that Sidious had taken on an apprentice. He let him keep Maul for a while (before eventually ordering his execution). But while he let Sidious teach Maul the ways of the force, he specifically asked him not to teach him the ways of the Sith. They were separate things.

Also, on Sith Trooper again and why he could be a non-force sensitive Sith in his day. Sith were a nation, ruled by Sith Lords. There were Sith citizens who were nothing more than farmers.
  • Maul got the title cuz Plagueis died. Allowing him to become a Sith. And I think his formal training got cuz due to events happening right away.

As far as which book, man I read so many. I think it was lockdown where Sidious was ordered to kill him, and it might have been that same book, but that order of events makes me doubt it. There are so many, sorry I can’t point to which one.

It’s definitely not currently cannon though. Anything involving Plagueis isn’t canon. But this game isn’t necessarily canon either. So I think all rules apply here
  • Well, Maul wasn’t Sith until Sidious’ master died. Sidious would have had to have died in order for Tyrannus to have been Master and thus Ventress raised to title of Sith apprentice
