Matches are much more strategic and enjoyable when not subjected to the random nature of turn order when "everyone's at 100% TM". Immediate bonus turns are awesome, let's make more use of them.
Thrawn's ally TM swap was reworked to always go first, but i do agree for the rest like CLS, Vader, Maul and etc. They need to be reworked to take "bonus turns" too.
I don't agree fully. CLS yes I think that should be a bonus turn, as he's cleansing himself and healing himself so the only reason he wouldn't get that TM is if he was plagued and dazed/shocked and started at below 50% health or if he had protection up and HK was zeta'd on the other team. It's also not an attack it's him swapping his stance effectively.
Maul and Vader can be dazed and shocked and that will prevent their TM gain back to 100% TM and I think that's fine. Not everything should be a bonus turn because that just directly nerfs the abilities of Daze and Shock. You can daze B2 to shut him down, but he has fairly high tenacity so it's a balance. But if he took bonus turns instead of just gaining 100% TM that'd be beyond frustrating.
Essentially what it comes down to is not everything can be a bonus turn because then we're nerfing daze and shock and that's not balance. If we turn everything that's gain 100% TM to a bonus turn we're going to ruin the balance of a ton of characters in game, primarily the ones that apply daze and shock, not just make the 100% TM characters better.
