No way. Not feasible. It makes no tactical sense to put the shield generator outside the shield. Even the Rebels on Hoth knew that. The shield generator was on the ground, projecting the shield overhead.****er, I mean, gee whiz, even the Gunguns knew enough to put the generator inside the shield.
Except that shield didn't cover the entire planet
That shouldn't matter, because shield generators make a spherical shape so it should go around the entire planet, negating the need for a weird space station thing for the shield generator
