One Omega in 20 battles is above the average drop rate. Be happy. I would be. If you got more before the update, you're an extremely lucky dude.
Throughout the farming of the Veteran Smugglers, I got 4-5 Omegas. 660 shards / 30% droprate = 2200 attempts. Deduct a few shards for the double drops that were in place for a short time, but on average you should still be going a full week or more between Omegas.
