Omicron VS GL

Galactic Legends are already power crept enough as it is.  CG doesn't want "old" teams beating GLs, they only want new teams beating them because new teams mean more money.

At this point in GAC, non-GL teams hold better than GL teams because GL only means "Costs more money to unlock" not that they're something to worry about. We'll unlock GL Mangu and for a while he'll be really good, but then teams will be found to destroy him and/or CG will release a "new shiny!" that obliterates yet another GL.  (Not even including datacrons)

If you're still building your roster, I'd say you can unlock GLs, but between GLs build another team because non-GL teams are where it's at.

The win rate was (or would be) higher than CG was happy with allowing.  Some ....most/all?  of these omicrons originally didn't have a GL clause and CG were unhappy with the success rate against GLs.  So, to protect them, a GL or dark-side GL clause was added.

They have done other things to protect GLs in the past; nerfs to Thrawn, JML, pretty nightsister girl, had a hard life on the streets Ezra, etc., for example.  These are the pinnacle of spending and CG want to maintain their fairy/star status at the top of the Christmas tree.
